Sixteen months since elected as President of this country in a very free and credible election President Koroma’s clarion call for Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora to join him in taking Sierra Leone to a brighter future is beginning to yield very positive dividends as was evident in the stunning revelations at the President’s annual fete with home comers held at State House Gardens past Saturday evening at which the President encouraged Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora to continue their remittances to the country.
President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma of the All Peoples Congress was elected as President of this country some fourteen months ago on the ticket of change. As we conclude one calendar year of his tenure and enter into another it could be safely said that the President has started the journey for a second term bid on a strong and solid foundation.
National Secretary General Victor Bockarie Foh has said that the results of the coming Parliamentary Bye-Elections in Constituencies 87 Pujehun District and 106 Western Area Urban are a foregone conclusion which will once again reiterate to the opposition SLPP that they are dead and gone and also serve as a proof of the fact that the people of Sierra Leone are resolved to entrust the administration of the country in the hands of the All Peoples Congress under the progressive and dynamic leadership of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.
The newly elected Western Area East District Chairman Comrade Amadu Bangura has said that the visit of the Libyan leader Colonel Moarmar Gadaffi is a blessing for the All Peoples Congress Government of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma in its quest to explore for alternative areas of financial investment intervention that will provide employment and help the country become less dependent on foreign assistance.
