The Untied Nations Fund for Population Activities Country Representative in Sierra Leone Mr. Barnabas Yisa yesterday donated five (5) ambulances as part of the organization's assistance to the government of Sierra Leone towards strengthening district health services projects through the Minstry of Health and Sanitation at a brief handing over ceremony at the fore grounds of Miatta Conference Center, Freetown.

Emergency drugs valued at US$ 100,000 for victims of past Sunday's fire disaster will be airlifted to Freetown from Ghana today by the APC Government under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, the Deputy Minister of Health and Sanitation Mohamed D. Koroma revealed to We Yone last night.

Very competent and reliable information reaching We Yone states that the opposition SLPP's plan to disrupt yesterday's National Youth League convention of the All Peoples Congress, which was conducted in a very peaceful atmosphere befitting the comradeship of the APC, was foiled when security personnel intercepted a truck load of about seventy men who were on their way from Kailahun to Kenema enroute to Freetown on a special assignment to violently disrupt the national youth league delegates conference inorder to present a picture that the APC is a party that espouses violence in the conduct of its affairs.

The United States Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS) concluded a week-long seminar entitled "Conventions of the Sea" on Friday with 40 Sierra Leoneans from all branches of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, the Sierra Leone Police, and various ministries receiving certificates.
