The Hon. for Constituency 50 Marampa/Marforki Portloko District Hon. Comrade Alhaji A.O. Daramy has disclosed to We Yone press the many projects he has embarked on since he was elected by the people of that constituency to represent them in the House of Representatives highlighting feeder road construction and that of a health clinic as his major achievements.
He made this disclosure in an exclusive interview at committee room No. 1 in the House of Representatives last week.
Hon. Comrade Daramy further highlighted, as another of his achievements, the rehabilitation of a bridge which connects one part of the constituency (Marampa) with the other (Marforki) which has been in a state of dilapidation for the past 20 years now.
The MP maintained that his determination to facilitate development and growth in his constituency is whetted by the commitment of His Excellency Comrade Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma's Agenda for Change campaign and the President's desire to ensure sustainable nationwide development.
Hon. Comrade Alhaji A.O. Daramy further informed We Yone that African Minerals and London Mining Companies have been instrumental in the construction of the Lunsar Town Hall, Lunsar Town clinic and the rehabilitation of the Lunsar Police Station.
In the area of feeder roads, the MP told We Yone that he facilitated the rehabilitation of Old Makeni Road, Jones Street, and Technical Bye-pass road along PortLoko to Lunsar.
He however made mention of the current challenges facing his people at Marampa/Marforki which he says are access to proper medical care and safe and clean drinking water. He appealed to NaCSA to endorse the project proposal awaiting their action and also called on the Sierra Leone Roads Authority SLRA to give premium consideration to the rehabilitation of the dilapidated Mange Bridge which is described as a barrier for the free flow of vehicles and pedestrians. He also appealed to African Mineral and London Mining Companies to employ qualified Lunsar residents in order to help stop rural-urban migration of skilled labour in his constituency. |
