“We have spent a lot of time playing the blame game. Every stakeholder of the party should take collective responsibility and put on halt all bloggers reigning insults on either the leadership of the APC or other national officers,’’ these were the exact words of the Leader of the All Peoples Congress in the House of Parliament while commenting on party matters on an online media platform.
Honourable Abdul Kargbo said the notion that certain individuals do not want Dr. Samura Kamara to have been at State House is completely wrong, recalling the strides the party made collectively to elect him at a National Delegates Conference.
Hon. Kargbo reiterated, that the blame must stop and that every stakeholder in the party has a role to play to ensure this is achieved.
The APC as an established political party should close ranks and ensure it remains united to confront the challenges the party is faced with.
He said the APC has the number to win an election but maintained election victory is not only about people casting their votes but that, the political party should be able to ensure it resists any attempt to steal the People’s mandate.
“We must all come together, forgive and forget, put the interest of the party above self,’’ said Hon. Kargbo, adding all stakeholders should ensure we “swallow our pride, work together. We have to demonstrate that the government cannot continue to abuse power with impunity.’’
He noted the APC the capacity to stop the SLPP from all the ‘nonsense’ they are doing, adding the division of the APC is giving the SLPP a field day to entrench corruption and bad governance.
