
Reports reaching We Yone State, a youth in his mid-20s by the name of Alusine Jalloh who is a victim of political Heavy handedness as a result of the August 10th 2022 incident in Sierra Leone is in the United States of America, seeking asylum.
“Alusine Jalloh is a trader and registered member of the main opposition party in Sierra Leone, the All Peoples Congress (APC)”, sources reveal to We Yone, adding on the said 10th August, protest in Sierra Leone, the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) administration headed by President Brigadier Dr. Julius Maada Bio as part of the agenda of the government in stiffing opposition voices and even violate the civil rights of citizens to peaceful protests and demonstration engaged on arbitrary arrest of alleged protesters.
Reports furthered, Alusine jalloh who was living in Rokel Village of Western Rural District of the Republic of Sierra Leone together with his relatives became a target.
“Alusine Jalloh was specifically arrested because he is a registered youth activist of the opposition APC political party, without any evidence of wrong doing, sources intimated We Yone, adding he was assaulted and beaten up with family members.
According to additional reports, the victim narrowly escaped and had to flee for his life.
A combination of irate hoodlums of the SLPP party with the support of misguided administration unleashed reign of terror, threat, violence and intimidation against the relatives of Alusine Jalloh. “These people had to run to distant villages to save their lives”, reports indicate.
Sources have also revealed to We Yone, that Alusine Jalloh will be mercilessly manhandled with his life even in danger if he dare step his feet in Sierra Leone.
“It is better for Alusine Jalloh to stay overseas as he will not be safe if he returns to Sierra Leone”, reports state, concluding by lamenting over the unjustifiable, unwarranted and inhuman spates of rights violation and political heavy handedness being meted since 2018 to date by the ruling SLPP president Bio – led regime against numbers of the rank and file of the opposition APC as well as critics of the SLPP led administration.
