Chericoco thrills Wellington
The main Opposition, All Peoples Congress Leader of Parliament Hon. Chernoh Ramadan Maju Bah ‘Chericoco’ executed the grand final kick-off between Peacock Farm and Loko Town at the Wellington Community playing field. This was an encounter between two respective constituencies 114 and 115. The event attracted party officials, constituency stakeholders, youth groups, women groups to name but a few. This symbolic event brings people together and unifies the nation and country.
Hon. Chericoco was effusive in appreciating the organizers of this great competition, various teams who were involved in the tournament, and spectators for maintaining sanity throughout the competition. He continued by commending the people and their representatives for a fantastic job done in projecting and tapping the talents of young Sierra Leoneans. The leader encouraged these young folks to be peaceful and committed as they thrive through their God-given potential, he concluded.
Hon. Bah and Hon. Unfa both stimulated the teams to respect soccer rules and fair play. No segregation and biasness in the game they both reiterated to the referee. The winner Loko Town football team took home Le 10,000,000 while runner-up Peacock Farm bagged Le 5,000,000 in the competition. Both team managers and captains applauded these MPs for their goodwill gestures in promoting their futures. The game was climaxed with the awarding of certificates, medals, and other merits-based rewards plus three standard football which were donated by Hon Chernor Ramadan Maju Chericoco whom they referred to as the philanthropic personality of this era.
