On Sunday, April 14th, 2024, the leadership including other members of the All Peoples Congress(APC) Party gathered in Kabala Town to bid farewell to former Councillor, Romeo Bangura, who passed away on March 28th, 2024.

The late Councillor Bangura was an illustrious servant of the people.

Before his demise at his hometown, the late man served his people with dedication and love.of Kabala.

Dr. S.S. Marah, the APC Party Chairman of Koinadugu District, offered condolences on behalf of the party’s leadership to the grieving family, encouraging them to endure.

Dr. Kaifala Marah Hosts Inter-Community Unity Football Gala Competition in Kabala Town

Dr. Kaifala Marah has organised a unity-focused Inter-community football gala competition in Koindagu District, Kabala Township.

Recognizing football as a universal language that transcends age, status, and affiliations, Dr. Kaifala Marah spearheaded this initiative to foster peace and harmony within Koinadugu and Falaba districts. He brought together both the young and old through the medium of football.

The competition features teams from 14 communities spanning various chiefdoms in Koindagu and Falaba Districts.

Four teams hail from Falaba District, while 10 represent Koinadugu District, totaling 14 participating teams in this unity-driven inter-community football gala.

The opening ceremony, held on April 15, 2024, at the Kabala Town Playing Field, was graced by Northeast Regional Chairman, Comrade Alie Commoner Kargbo, alongside Koinadugu District Council Chairman, Lawrence Teteh Kargbo.

The inaugural match featured Semgbeh chiefdom from Koinadugu district against Baowayei Chiefdom from Falaba district.

The tournament boasts a star prize of Twenty Million Old Leones (Le 20,000,000) alongside various consolation prizes.

Dr. Kaifala Marrah, the primary sponsor, provided vests for all participating communities and distributed cooking foodstuffs to each team to ensure adequate preparation ahead of every match.
